The Software QA Tester develops and implements testing strategies for medical imaging software, conducts manual and automated tests, collaborates with teams, and drives process improvement.
As a Software QA Tester, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies, plans, and execute manual tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our medical imaging software and hardware products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and compliance of our software solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements, analyze test results, and report defects to drive continuous improvement in our software development process.
Testing Strategy and Execution
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of medical imaging software and hardware applications across different platforms and environments
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation including requirements traceability, design files, and user manuals
- Perform manual testing, including smoke, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution using tools, such as JIRA, for the reporting, tracking, and resolution of defects/deviations/incidents.
- Collaborate with product team members to ensure timely investigation and resolution of identified issues
Process Improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance and Information Technology on computer system validation process improvement initiatives, such as risk-based testing principles, automated testing procedures and tools, and documentation
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of related experience.
- A recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science or Engineering
- Familiarity of medical imaging testing methodologies, processes, standards, techniques and practices such as computer system validation, computer system assurance, GAMP5, and knowledge of ISO62304 and ISO62366 is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Postman, JMeter, TestRail, and other API testing tools
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum
- Knowledge of JIRA, Github issues or other project management and defect management tools
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium and UI Vision or similar platforms
- Experience with design patterns in react, automating desktop application UI testing, SQL/MySQL preferred.
