Role Summary

Define architecture, standards, and deliver solutions end to end. This hybrid, generalist role blends core platform design in cloud (AWS/Azure) data and application architecture with hands on, customer facing delivery. You will lead builds across Node.js services, AI and agent workflows, and integrations with enterprise systems, owning quality and reliability.

  • Cloud and Systems Design with depth in building secure, scalable systems across networking, autoscaling, multi tenant patterns. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CDK and strong observability with metrics, tracing, logs, and SLOs.

  • Application Engineering Strong Node.js and TypeScript for APIs and services. Proficiency with Postgres and experience with vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Milvus for retrieval and semantic search.

  • Experience orchestrating agentic workflows and retrieval augmented generation. Familiarity with LangGraph is a plus.

  • DevOps and Delivery Solid engineering practices including CI/CD with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, automated testing, code reviews, trunk based development. Comfortable with Docker and modern release management.

  • Hands on use of AI tools with clear ideas for applying AI to development, testing, data, and support.

  • Ownership mentality, crisp communication, comfortable deciding with 80 percent information.

  • Move fast without breaking things, not afraid to learn new stacks, bring a we will figure it out attitude.

Logistics
  • Total compensation: $240,000 to $400,000

  • Base salary: $160,000 to $250,000 plus meaningful founding equity
