Who we are looking for

You will be joining our team as a hands-on Snowflake Lead, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions. This role requires strong expertise in Snowflake, data engineering, and cloud-based data platforms, along with a solid understanding of data governance, control environments, and regulatory requirements.

This role will play a critical role in developing and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality and availability, and supporting business-critical reporting and analytics. You will work across multiple teams to enable efficient, reliable, and scalable data processing in a fast-paced environment. This role will also support the adoption of AI-driven capabilities within data platforms, helping improve data quality, automation, and efficiency across business-critical workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models using Snowflake
  • Build and optimize workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting
  • Ensure high data quality, integrity, and consistency across data platforms
  • Analyze and optimize Snowflake performance (query tuning, storage optimization, cost control)
  • Break down complex data requirements into structured, implementable solutions
  • Identify dependencies across upstream and downstream systems (e.g., source systems, reporting layers) and proactively manage them
  • Troubleshoot data issues and implement durable fixes to prevent recurrence
  • Develop and enhance data processes with a strong focus on automation, scalability, and reliability
  • Define and track key metrics related to data pipelines, performance, and quality
  • Ensure visibility into data flows, pipeline health, and processing outcomes
  • Partner with business and technology teams to translate requirements into data solutions
  • Clearly communicate risks, issues, and progress to stakeholders
  • Support production releases, validate changes, and ensure stability of data platforms
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, audit, and security requirements
  • Support audit requests, controls validation, and remediation activities where needed

Skillset

  • Strong expertise in Snowflake, including:
    • Data modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
    • Query optimization and performance tuning
    • Snowflake architecture and best practices
  • Experience with:
    • SQL and advanced data transformation logic
    • Pipeline orchestration
    • Cloud platforms (Azure)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle large-scale data processing and troubleshoot complex data issues
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data
  • Strong communication skills – able to explain data issues and solutions clearly
  • Ability to work across teams in a matrix environment
  • Proactive ownership and accountability for deliverables
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple deliverables, and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on data accuracy and quality
  • Continuous improvement mindset with focus on automation

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or financial services technology
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake in a production environment
  • Experience working in complex, cross-functional data ecosystems
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting, financial data platforms, or control environments
  • Experience supporting production systems and handling high-priority data issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
