Join our USRM Small Commercial (SC) Product Tech space as a Software Engineer for Rules Software Product (SWP). SC underwriting platforms send data to the Rules SWP throughout the lifecycle of a quote and policy for evaluation by business rules. The Rules SWP team is currently supporting new major product rollouts while modernizing 8+ supported business capabilities to their target tech solution. Rules SWP team works closely with other business and IT policy quoting teams.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Qualifications
- Three years of software engineering experience.
- Experience working in an agile environment utilizing Scrum, Kanban or XP.
- Three years of software engineering experience.
- Experience working in an agile environment utilizing Scrum, Kanban or XP.
- A history of translating business requirements into technical designs.
- Proficiency in software engineering languages and tools, including Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, React, AWS and RESTful services, spanning horizontal and vertical packages.
- Experience with business rule engines and business rule platforms
- Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, etc.)
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
