We are looking for an exceptional Software Engineer (sustaining) who is responsible for maintaining and improving quality, reliability, and delivery of current product features. The engineer helps with the customer issues reported from the field by triaging and addressing them with the required changes. This role is also responsible for providing feedback to new product development teams to improve quality/reliability of future products. This is part of the core team that develops cloud software to discover, organize, analyze and secure various cloud infrastructures. There is a great opportunity to deliver, learn, and grow as this small team is rapidly growing and delivering many impactful features. 

 

The role is a combination of software development, quality assurance, and technical support with a primary focus on making the existing products function well for customers. These are key expectations for the role: 

  • Support DSPM product areas and provide customer support to help resolve difficult customer issues. 

  • Design, develop, and deliver solutions to customers to help them resolve problems that they are facing in their deployments. 

  • Work on developing solutions and resolving issues within our products to help improve the overall stability of the DSPM platform. 

  • Be familiar and use AI tools day to day. 

 

Requirements: 

  • 4+ years of development experience in Python or NodeJS is preferred 

  • Expertise in public cloud compute and networking, with hands-on experience in at least one of the following: AWS, GCP, or Azure. 

  • Proven experience with REST API-driven automation using Python or JavaScript. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, innovative environment. 

  • Adaptability and a keen interest in staying current with new technologies and evolving industry trends. 

  • Understanding of github and experience with CI/CD pipelines, including the setup and management of automated build, test, and deployment workflows 

  • Prior experience in testing SaaS security products is a plus 

  • Experience in debugging complex products, and building monitoring dashboards is preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable compensation and/or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package, including flexible time off, a comprehensive well-being program with two paid Wellbeing Days and two paid Volunteer Days per year, plus a three-week Work from Anywhere option.

Base Pay Ranges:

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 136,200.00 - 214,005.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 112,700.00 - 177,100.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 101,600.00 - 159,720.00 USD
