App Armor (a Motorola Solutions company) is looking for an experienced software developer to be part of a dynamic team developing community-facing public safety applications. This is a hybrid position, the team typically goes into the Toronto downtown office once per week.

Job Description: Full Stack Developer

Motorola Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced (2+ years) Full Stack Developer to join our team. This is a hybrid position; the team typically goes into the Toronto downtown office once per week.

Responsibilities:

• Full Stack Development:

  • Develop web user interfaces using React and Angular.

  • Build responsive web pages with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Design and implement backend services using .NET Core (C#) on both Windows and MacOS platforms.

  • Manage and optimize database systems using SQL Server.

  • Develop cross-platform mobile apps using React Native (iOS and Android).

  • Develop scalable cloud-based solutions on AWS to meet evolving customer needs.

  • Utilize natural language processing and data mining techniques to enhance application usability.

• Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team on intuitive and visually appealing user experiences.

  • Create and maintain internal tools to streamline operations.

  • Write clear and concise software documentation.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated customer issues.

  • Participate in production rollout processes.

  • Research and implement new technologies to improve business processes and user experience.

• Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in full-stack development.

  • Backend: .NET Core (C#), Microservice development, SQL Server, Basic Scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and/or Node.js, Typescript, Golang, SQL Server, NoSQL databases. 

  • Frontend: Angular and/or React, React Native. HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker.

  • Version Control: Git.

  • Agile Development: Scrum/Agile methodology.

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Bonus Points:

  • Experience with automated testing.

  • Familiarity with Golang, Angular, AWS Cloud, NoSQL databases, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio, XCode, Android Studio, GitHub Desktop, Jira, Parallels, JetBrains.
