As a member of the Login team at Auth0, you will:
  • Drive small to medium projects within your team, from technical design through to completion.
  • Help our customers have an awesome experience with our products.
  • Collaborate with the support team as the last level of escalation for tickets.
  • Participate in our on-call rotations to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Write modular, well-tested, maintainable code and make use of proven design patterns.
  • Proactively engage with others to avoid being blocked by external parties and to research concepts.
  • Communicate project-level status and risk/mitigations to the team.
  • Drives discussions on project deliverables inside the team to identify and address important team-level discussions.
  • Participate in design reviews that impact small projects within the team and make recommendations.
  • Contribute to the team's on-call rotation, responsible for addressing and resolving production support issues.
  • Begin to mentor new engineers and participate in onboarding.
  • Demonstrate proficiency within the team's product domain.

You are a good fit for this role if you:

  • Have 2+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficient in at least one of the backend languages and frameworks - Typescript / Javascript / Go / Python / Java.
  • Comfortable in React or similar front-end UI stack (React, Angular, Vue); if not comfortable yet, you are willing to learn.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HTTP fundamentals with strong API Design skills.
  • Have experience working with at least one of the database technologies - Mongo, Redis, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience working with at least one cloud-native system of scale (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with distributed systems patterns, including caching, asynchronous processing, etc. 
  • Track record of delivering work incrementally to get feedback and iterating over solutions.
  • Demonstrate infectious enthusiasm and bring the right attitude to the team, emphasizing ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and customer focus.
  • Excellent written communication skills, bringing structure to ambiguous concepts, and driving closure on them methodically using first principles

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:
$110,000$160,000 CAD
