WHAT YOU'LL DO
We’re looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Email team, which is responsible for building and maintaining the core infrastructure that delivers billions of personalized emails a month to our customers’ end users as well as processing all associated reporting data. This includes a highly parallelized platform to personalize & send emails at huge scale, REST APIs to manage/track user subscriptions, web pages to allow end-users to self-manage preferences, and dashboards to configure customer email domains.
As an engineer on the team, you will work with your teammates to build out new features, improve performance, and provide guidance on key architectural decisions. You will have the opportunity to tackle significant engineering challenges, such as architecting new iterations of critical components for our systems and optimizing our systems for resilience as they scale. WHO YOU ARE
- 2-4 years of full-stack development experience
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures and algorithms
- A self starter with great communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience working in a team environment
- Bonus:
- Professional experience with any of: Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript
- Professional experience building distributed systems at scale
- Experience with agile processes
For candidates based in Ontario, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between CA$125,280 and CA$235,736/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between CA$139,200 and CA$258,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
