About You:
Reporting to Engineering Manager, Orchestration Platform, you are passionate about applying their software engineering fundamentals to build software that meets the highest standards in quality, scalability and reliability.
About You:
- You are a recent graduate with a BS in Computer Science or related field and 1 or more years of experience
- You optimize for impact over motion and love getting stuff done
- You have a solid understanding of back-end development, and are comfortable with at least one frontend platform
- You have strong programming skills, CS fundamentals
- You are a motivated learner
- You have a strong desire for professional growth
- You have strong communication skills
- You are legally authorized to work in Canada
What you will do:
- Build and maintain platform APIs, and sometimes Frontend infrastructure such as notification handlers that build on those APIs
- Jump into other team's codebases to help achieve collective goals
- Collaborate on tight-knit teams - teach us what you know and learn from us
- Identify areas of technical debt and influence roadmap plans with smart solutions
Bonus Points:
- Experience in our tech stack: Golang, React, TypeScript, NextJS, GraphQL, GRPC/Protobuf, MySQL, PostgreSQL
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
- Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.
- Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.
- No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required.
- Ability to interact with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.
