About the Team
The Data Platform team builds and maintains the core data services, systems, and products that power Okta. We enable critical functions like streaming analytics, end-user reporting, machine learning platforms, and product telemetry—laying the foundation for data-driven decisions across the company.
What you’ll be doing
- Work with team to scope and plan engineering efforts
- Design, develop and test reporting/analytics software
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Collaborate with QA, Product Management, Technical Support, Documentation and UX team
What you’ll bring to the role
- Pursuing a B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field (Graduation date: December 2024 – December 2025)
- Proficiency in Java programming
- Experience with SQL
- Interest in software development and testing that supports building highly reliable, mission-critical software.
- Knowledge of web application frameworks, RDBMS & application servers (experience in one or more preferred)
- Experience building solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, Fargate, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, and SES a strong plus
- Data Engineering experience is a plus
