Autodesk's Platform Services and Emerging Technologies group is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team of diverse, smart, and driven engineers who are responsible for building the Project Administration platform. Our platform is at the forefront of the company’s strategic investment and has tremendous visibility and impact across Autodesk. As a Software Developer you will be part of high performing Scrum team where the code and services the team develops will have a direct, positive impact to the million users of Autodesk products. You'll be building cloud based micro-services and frontends that power events and data integrations used to support Project Administration across Autodesk Clouds. The services and applications we build, own and support are business critical, tier-1 systems that must be highly available with low latency, to provide our customers with seamless and intuitive access to manage their users. This experience is key to our business and one of our top initiatives around transformation and customer experience.
Software Developer, P2
Location: Toronto Canada
Responsibilities
Build awesome web experiences using React.js
Build in flexibility and customization from the start
Design and implement code and workflows with the user in mind
Ability to act quickly and adapt to change
Work with product managers, UX Designers, and QA engineers to own your solution from development to production
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years building web and/or mobile experiences with evidence of exceptional ability
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience or other evidence of exceptional ability
Work with and write semantic HTML tags and write CSS selectors
Knowledge of JSX
Understanding of fundamental web technologies such as HTTP, REST, AJAX and JSON
Proficiency in JavaScript / ES6, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
Understanding of React.js and its core principles
Unit Testing with Jest/Enzyme
Experience working with RESTful APIs
Experience with Node.js
Strong CSS skills w/ experience building responsive applications across a variety of browsers and devices using modern techniques
