As a Software Developer in Test (SDT), you will help maintain the best possible user experience as CoLab continues to grow. In this role, you will obsess over the customer experience, and work to automate repetitive testing activities in order to focus on UI/UX and overall product quality. You will work with technical resources such as developers and designers to ensure functionality and design specifications are being met. You will also provide critical input on the overall direction of quality assurance (QA) here at CoLab.
What you’ll do:
- Manage Test Automation at CoLab, including all test planning, preparation and execution activities - including infrastructure, tooling and process
- Work with the Product Team to develop user story tests and user acceptance tests
- Implement various automated testing tools and technologies to develop, debug, execute and maintain complex automated test cases
- Own the entire release testing lifecycle (e.g. integration, business acceptance, performance, operability, deployment verification)
- Prioritize testing tasks, ensure milestones, activities, tasks are completed as scheduled
- Coordinate code deployments, maintenance upgrades and project testing across numerous environments on various technology platforms
- Participate in audit reviews to ensure test artifacts and processes meet necessary standards and compliance requirements
- Provide mentorship and training on Quality Assurance to the entire company
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in QA and UAT of web software applications
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, best practices and QA processes
- Strong knowledge of test automation technologies and tools
- Strong knowledge of Python and JavaScript development
- Knowledge and experience with CI/CD processes would be considered an asset
- Strong communication skills, as well as demonstrated experience managing others
- Knowledge of common web application security vulnerabilities and experience with application security testing would be considered an asset
