Develop high-performance APIs and enhance the iGaming platform, contribute to architectural evolution, and participate in team collaboration.
This role is a current vacancy , and we are actively seeking a candidate to join the team.
Responsibilities:- Write production code daily and actively contribute to the technical direction of the Platform Team
- Design and build high-performance APIs capable of handling thousands of requests per second
- Develop and deliver customer-facing features end-to-end, from CMS data modelling to production release
- Maintain and enhance GX-Console, our universal game launcher, along with backend-for-frontend services and internal platform tools
- Contribute to the evolution of our cloud-native microservices architecture
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering design sessions
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and collaborate with engineers across the platform to find pragmatic solutions
- Share knowledge within the team and help drive a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical estimation
- Raise technical risks or blockers early and work with the team to resolve them quickly
- Support the hiring process by participating in technical interviews when needed

Salary: $90,000-$120,000 CAD

Qualifications Experience Preferred 2–5 years of software engineering experience in production environments Excellent coding skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java Experience with Node.js and TypeScript backend development Experience building REST APIs and distributed systems Familiarity with CI/CD, automation, and Git-based workflows Exposure to AWS or cloud-native environments Understanding of microservices and scalable system design Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience in iGaming, sports betting, or regulated industries is a plusBally's Interactive Toronto, Ontario, CAN Office
