YOUR IMPACT
As an AI Developer — Intermediate you will be responsible for contributing to Redwood’s AI initiatives across software development lifecycle (SDLC) innovation and product AI research, supporting experimentation, building proof-of-concepts, and collaborating with senior team members to deliver practical AI-driven solutions.

  • Support the setup, execution, and documentation of AI experiments targeting Redwood's software development processes
  • Evaluate AI-assisted development tools by running structured tests, gathering data, and summarizing results
  • Build and maintain lightweight scripts, integrations, and tooling to support SDLC experimentation
  • Document experiment outputs and contribute to internal reports for broader development teams
  • Contribute to proof-of-concept builds by writing code, integrating APIs, and testing AI components
  • Research AI topics and summarize findings, including tools, models, and frameworks
  • Assist in building and running demos of AI capabilities for product and engineering stakeholders
  • Continuously explore new ideas, tools, and approaches, sharing insights with the team

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • 2–4 years of professional software development experience (internships and academic experience considered)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred; Java, TypeScript, or similar acceptable)
  • Demonstrated interest in AI through coursework, projects, or hands-on experience with ML or LLMs
  • Experience working with APIs and integrating third-party services
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, exploratory environment and navigate ambiguity effectively
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to document work and findings clearly

BONUS SKILLS

  • Familiarity with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) or AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) 
  • Exposure to AI evaluation techniques or prompt engineering practices  
  • Experience with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, or developer workflow automation  
  • Participation in AI/ML competitions, hackathons, or research projects 

Pay Transparency: The typical base salary range for this position is 83,000 - 105,000 CAD annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, and relevant qualifications.
