We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Media, Associate Marketing Manager to join our growing team. If you’re someone who loves staying ahead of social trends, loves making fun and engaging content, and are passionate about social media, this role may be a great fit for you!
As an Associate Manager on the organic social team, you’ll play a vital role in directing social strategy for Canadian Tire Retail and Hudson’s Bay Stripes - two iconic Canadian brands. You’ll support our online community across many platforms by creating engaging content, analyzing performance and working cross-functionally with various internal teams. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with customers, agencies, creators, and other key internal stakeholders.

As a Social Media, Associate Marketing Manager, you’ll support the Manager, Social Content in building strategic plans for our organic social channels by collaborating with internal teams and agencies to build/execute content calendars (brief, content review, production, publishing).
Work cross-functionally with internal and agency partners (sports partnerships and community impact teams) to create and adapt content that aligns with business goals.
Additionally, you will be occasionally responsible for leading content shoots, creating captivating organic content using tools like Canva. This could also include attending sports or partner events to create real-time content or occasionally working after hours/weekend work (less than 10% of time) to support key sales dates.
A crucial aspect of your role is performance analysis. You will regularly track post analytics, review moderation reports, and analyze monthly and seasonal performance reports to direct strategy. Based on these insights, you will provide performance updates and reports to relevant teams to drive data-informed decisions. These insights will shape our strategy, channel development and organic content and ensure we stay closely connected to customer needs and brand perception.
What you bring
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or equivalent experience
4-6 years work experience in Social Media with a strong strategic background in content production and community management
Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze metrics, identify insights, and craft meaningful data stories for leadership teams
Customer-focused individual, with exceptional written and oral communication skills
Comfortable working independently with periods of ambiguity
Comfortable working with tight deadlines
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams from across the organization (PR, Merchandising, Brand, Customer Service, Community/Impact teams)
Experience directing and collaborating with creative agencies
Familiar with customer service protocols and community management and risk management
Knowledge of Social Media platforms and back-end execution
Strong understanding of content creation best practices by platform
Experience with Sprout Social and/or other social media management programs
Experience boosting posts/paid social media execution is an asset

Our typical hiring range is between $64,000.00 and $106,000.00 CAD Annual. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
