Role Summary


We are seeking an experienced SEO Team Leader to join our Digital Marketing team. In this role, you will drive the strategy and execution of SEO efforts, optimizing our client’s online presence to enhance organic search visibility, increase traffic, and support business growth within the localization sector.


As the leader of the SEO team, you will oversee a team of 7 direct reports, taking full responsibility for developing, implementing and delivering SEO strategies for our clients. You'll leverage your technical SEO expertise and business acumen to promote initiatives, effectiveness and best practices. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, product, Localization, and Sales.

Main Duties

  • Lead the development and execution of tailored SEO strategies for client projects, ensuring alignment with each client's business goals to maximize their organic traffic, search rankings, and conversion rates.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of 7 SEO professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality SEO solutions for clients. Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring the team delivers projects efficiently and meets client expectations.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal departments, specially the Commercial team, to integrate SEO best practices into client-specific digital marketing projects, ensuring all initiatives support client SEO goals.
  • Serve as the in-house expert for SEO.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance for client projects using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO software.
  • Provide when needed clients with actionable insights and data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct ongoing keyword research and competitor analysis specific to client industries to identify growth opportunities and inform SEO strategies that drive client success.
  • Keep up with industry trends, search engine algorithm updates, and new tools, applying insights to continuously improve client SEO strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage SEO budgets for client projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation, maximizing ROI for clients, and tracking performance across all initiatives.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in SEO, with a minimum of 3 years leading or managing an SEO team.
  • Proven experience in leading SEO strategy and implementation at a global level, with a strong understanding of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with SEM campaigns, with the ability to integrate SEO and SEM strategies for cohesive search marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring an SEO team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven environment.
  • Ability to understand business needs, think strategically, and align SEO initiatives with broader business and marketing goals.
  • Proficiency in technical SEO and working knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS systems.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and performance tracking using SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders, translating SEO insights into business decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in SEO trends, tools, and search engine algorithms.
  • Experience working in a global or multinational company or in the Localization industry is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics.
  • Proven track record of increasing organic traffic, improving rankings, and driving revenue through SEO.
