About Rentsync:
Rentsync is an award-winning, high-growth organization that provides high quality websites, marketing services, and software solutions to the rental and property management industry throughout Canada and the United States.

About the Role:

We're looking for a hands-on SEO/GEO operator to own organic and AI search from analysis through execution. This is not simply a strategy or advisory role — you identify opportunities and lead their implementation through hands-on execution and delegation. The ideal candidate is motivated by genuine ownership and the autonomy to act decisively on it. If this opportunity sounds like a great fit, we'd love to speak with you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Audit & Opportunity Identification

  • Analyze site performance across SEO and AI search (GEO): technical issues, content gaps, high/low-performing pages, and backlink opportunities
  • Conduct competitor analysis and identify traffic gaps
  • Prioritize actions by impact

Execution

  • Implement on-page improvements directly or guide others through it: metadata, internal linking, content updates
  • Make technical fixes or drive them through engineering
  • Improve site structure, templates, and taxonomy

AI & Automation

  • Build or leverage AI workflows to automate keyword research, gap analysis, and content optimization at scale
  • Improve the efficiency and scalability of SEO operations

Performance Tracking

  • Set up and manage SEO/GEO monitoring tools
  • Track rankings, traffic, indexing, and performance
  • Report on shipped work and measurable impact

Cross-Functional Duties

  • Partner with product and engineering to scope and ship SEO initiatives
  • Support marketing on content strategy

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO/GEO experience with proven, measurable traffic impact
  • Strong technical SEO expertise in improving site structure, indexing, crawlability, duplication.
  • Proven examples of executing SEO changes, either hands-on in a CMS or by leading others through implementation
  • Ability to conduct keyword research, backlink analysis, and competitor benchmarking
  • Work cross-functionally with product and engineers to deliver SEO initiatives
  • Skilled at using AI tools to scale SEO workflows
  • Have built automations, scripts, or agents
  • Fluent in English
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic coding ability (HTML, CSS, JS; Python a plus) is an asset, not a requirement
  • Familiarity with AI search, LLM-driven discovery, and MCP
  • Able to work 2 days per week in one of Rentsync's regional offices (Toronto, St. Catharines or Montreal)
