Overview of the Position
The SVP, Institutional Capital Markets is a driven and ambitious sales leader and external wholesaler, who will be responsible for driving sales of Greybrook offerings by both evolving existing advisor relationships as well as cultivating new ones across approved CIRO dealer platforms.
This role requires a proven track record of investment sales into the CIRO network of advisors, a deep knowledge of alternative investments, Real Estate (preferably private REIT’s), and the ability to articulate Greybrook’s differentiated investment offerings to Broker Dealers and their investors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Greybrook’s investment offerings.
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan to achieve sales targets and grow market share across Institutional Capital Markets team.
- Lead and coordinate extensive in-person meetings, expertly promoting Greybrook investment offerings to a wide range of Investment Advisors across a network of approved CIRO dealers.
- Implement structured outreach strategies, targeted marketing initiatives, and thought leadership activities to open new dealer networks with a focus on independent CIRO dealers.
- Lead development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to support new sales ideas to advisors.
- Build and maintain relationships with key advisors and branch managers at approved CIRO dealers.
- Maintain a deep understanding of competitive landscape and be able to articulate key differences in Greybrook investment offerings.
- Represent Greybrook at industry conferences, seminars, and client events.
- Maintain strong, trust-based relationships built on deep product knowledge, transparent communication, and consistent service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring strong execution, accountability, and continuous professional growth.
- Assign and oversee workloads, monitor quality of outputs, and ensure the team operates with discipline and consistency.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, resilience, and high performance within the Institutional Capital Markets team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 10+ years of external wholesaling or institutional sales experience, preferably within alternative investments or real estate.
- Established experience and relationships with independent CIRO dealers.
- Strong understanding of investment products, competitive landscape and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication, with compelling presentation abilities and the capacity to develop and deliver investment proposals and business cases.
- High level of comfort with technology and working in MS Office and CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred).
- Ability to work well independently while collaborating effectively with internal team.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with high-net-worth and sophisticated investment advisors.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, influence, and set standards of excellence.
- High resilience, adaptability, and comfort operating in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and professional integrity.
- Must be willing and able to travel.
