Senior UX/UI Designer, Pension Services and Technology
Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior UX/UI Designer to join our Pension Services and Technology team in Toronto. You will contribute to growing the Design team and design new (and existing) products and services for OMERS Pensions.
The Pension Services and Technology team is an exciting team focused on leveraging the newest technologies and approaches to deliver solutions & systems for the modern-day end user. Our primary focus and commitments are to provide real value, encourage innovation and empower open thinking for all our team members. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

Producing wireframes, prototypes and user flows that embody the business and functional requirements in both low and high fidelity

Participating in user testing to gather qualitative and quantitative data, and utilizing that information to guide and improve the user experiences in our products

Understanding both technical and business requirements; being flexible and able to provide alternative design solutions if necessary due to system constraints

Acting as a user experience advocate and thought leader regarding principles of user experience and human-centered design

Providing guidance on AODA best practices and implementation to design solutions as necessary
To succeed in this role, you have:
-
Recognizable degree in Design or a related discipline
-
Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with groups across Products and Technology
-
Minimum 3+ years related to product design and/or UX/UI design working experience
-
Big picture thinking that ensures consistency in design patterns and connectivity between various flows on products
-
Experience in an Agile/scrum work setting
-
Proficiency with producing user flows, low and high-fidelity designs, and prototyping
-
Proficiency with Figma, it is our primary tool in our UX/UI design workflow
-
Experience with other design tools (Sketch, Adobe CC, Prototyping tools and user testing tools etc.) is preferred but not required
-
Strong advocacy for human-centered design principles
-
Experience with financial/investment/insurance businesses would be an asset
-
Experience with Design Sprints and other design lead solution activities would be an asset
-
Experience with HTML/CSS would be an asset
