Position Overview

As a key member of StickerYou’s growing Development Department, we’re looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer. This person will report directly to the VP of Technology & Digital Products. This position will heavily collaborate with our VP of Marketing, and work collaboratively with other teams. This person will drive the user experience strategy for the StickerYou.com e-commerce site by working both independently and collaboratively with others. This person will be challenged to use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to come up with creative solutions that improve the user experience across all channels.

What you'll do:

  • Craft the overall user experience strategy, design system, and content architecture for the site
  • Oversee a complete overhaul of site journeys and navigation
  • Create end-to-end designs including low-fidelity user interface sketches/wireframes through to high-fidelity pixel perfect visual design mockups and prototypes
  • Monitor analytics on user behaviour and site performance, continuously seeking opportunities to deliver a superior and higher converting experience
  • Develop a proficient understanding of StickerYou's products, customers and competition by leading and participating in user research, competitive analysis and other design thinking activities
  • Apply user-centered design best practices and methodologies as well as mobile-first/responsive design thinking
  • Work within tight deadlines without compromising quality
  • This is an Individual contributor role that works closely with and helps coordinate the activities of members of several other teams

What you bring to the team:

  • 5+ years in UX Design, Digital Product Design or Visual/UI design. (ideally not with a primary focus on mobile)
  • A strong portfolio of projects which demonstrate creative, user-centered design solutions to complex problems, especially in an e-commerce context
  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Design, User Experience or a related field
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to take responsibility for design of solutions from concept to completion
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across departments
  • Proficient and effective use of industry-standard UX and UI design tools, including Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and XD and UXPin
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS/JS capabilities and limitations
  • Knowledge of printing industry considered an asset
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or a related field is an asset
