Are you a passionate Senior UX Designer excited to create truly joyful and impactful player experiences in mobile puzzle games? Join Rovio’s biggest puzzle game, Angry Birds Dream Blast, and directly influence its future growth!

In this role, you’ll be crafting player-centric game experiences that are not only deeply engaging and delightful but also aligning with our ambitious business goals. You'll drive the UX vision for key features, from concept to implementation, ensuring every interaction in Angry Birds Dream Blast is smooth and impactful. This means diving deep into player insights, leading the visualization, prototyping, and documentation of sophisticated UX designs, and championing the player's voice throughout the entire development lifecycle.

You'll actively collaborate crossfunctionally shaping features and influencing the game's direction to deliver truly memorable experiences for millions of players worldwide.

This position is based in Espoo, Finland and follows a hybrid work model with two on-site days per week. We are able to provide work permit sponsorship if needed, but we are not offering relocation support for this role.

You will have impact and fun at work by doing:

  • Shaping the player experience: Lead the UX design for key game features, ensuring they align with the game's creative vision, player needs, and business goals.
  • Driving design excellence: Translate player insights into meaningful, emotional experiences through wireframes, flows, mock-ups, and prototypes.
  • Shape the direction of the game: Actively contribute to design and planning meetings with cross-functional teams, providing constructive feedback to iterate and launch features successfully.
  • Leveraging player data: Observe playtests and analyze competitor games to gather insights, sharing findings with the team and design craft.
  • Sharing knowledge: Mentor junior designers and share your expertise, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Several years of experience in UX design specifically for free-to-play (F2P) mobile puzzle games, with a strong portfolio showcasing features delivered from concept to live implementation.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with Product Managers, Analysts, UX Researchers, Game Designers, Developers, and Artists to shape features and designs. You're adept at leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data to understand player needs, optimize experiences, and improve KPIs.
  • Passionate about and deeply knowledgeable in UX, UI, and emotional design principles for casual F2P mobile puzzle games. You excel at crafting joyful, memorable player journeys that drive business impact.
  • Process-oriented, with a solid understanding of Design Thinking and various UX methods, tools, and processes. You can effectively identify challenges and opportunities, and form hypotheses based on data.
  • Excellent at articulating complex ideas verbally, visually, and in writing. You actively share your knowledge and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
