As a Senior Training & Curriculum Design Specialist at iA Private Wealth (iAPW), you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering impactful training programs and curriculum for advisors and clients.
You will be responsible for creating engaging learning solutions, maintaining up-to-date training content, and supporting the successful implementation of strategic initiatives through effective training delivery.

This role requires a learning and development professional with a strong background in instructional design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
You thrive in dynamic environments, are detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities. You are passionate about adult learning principles, digital learning trends, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll accomplish with us

 As a Sr Training & Curriculum Design Specialist, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

Training Development

  • Assess, design, and implement engaging training programs for advisors and clients, including digital, financial planning, practice management, and growth initiatives, in alignment with organizational strategy.

  • Collaborate with business partners and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop tailored solutions.

  • Develop written and visual training content for digital projects and other initiatives, ensuring clarity and relevance.

  • Maintain and update the training content library, ensuring all materials are current and effective.

  • Gather feedback from internal teams and advisors to monitor and improve training effectiveness.

  • Simplify and communicate complex messages using various communication methods.

  • Support the delivery of live and recorded training sessions in collaboration with the Practice Management and Training Delivery team.

  • Partner with Marketing to develop multimedia training content, such as videos and interactive modules.

  • Contribute to creative brainstorming and concept development sessions.

Curriculum Design

  • Oversee the design of training programs, workshops, and e-learning courses to meet the diverse needs of advisors and clients.

  • Ensure all training materials are aligned with adult learning principles and best practices.

  • Collaborate on the translation of training content to support bilingual delivery (English and French).

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance learning outcomes.

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in training and curriculum design.

Other Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal subject matter experts and support teams.

  • Communicate effectively and foster teamwork across departments.

  • Actively participate and contribute to team meetings and a culture of open communication.

  • Maintain the highest level of customer service and professionalism.

  • Perform other tasks as required to support business objectives.

What could accelerate your success in this role

 We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has Proficiency in both English and French – speaking, reading and writing – is required

  • Obtained Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field (ideally).

  • Demonstrated 7+ years of training and instructional design experience, with at least 2 years in investment or wealth management

  • Mastered interpersonal skills and has the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.

  • Demonstrated proven ability to apply expertise and creative thinking to unique or ambiguous situations.

  • Has some familiarity with digital learning platforms (e.g., Articulate Rise).

This is a full-time, permanent role. The base salary range for this position is between $90, 000 - $105, 000 plus an annual bonus.
