About RhythmScience

RhythmScience is transforming virtual cardiac care with our Rhythm360® platform, offering advanced remote monitoring for hypertension, heart failure, and rhythm management. Our goal is to improve patient outcomes through seamless collaboration between clinicians and patients, powered by cutting-edge healthcare technology. We're a remote-first, mission-driven team dedicated to building human-centric healthcare solutions.

About the Role

We're looking for a self-motivated Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team. You'll design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end (E2E) automated tests in our end-to-end suite, ensuring our platform's quality and reliability. You'll work closely with our engineering, product, and clinical teams to deliver high-quality releases that directly impact patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain E2E automated test suites for web and API workflows using modern frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, or similar).
  • Review, refactor, and optimize existing test cases for maintainability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and clinical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast and reliable feedback for every release.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on test results, identifying root causes of failures and working with the team to resolve issues.
  • Drive best practices in test automation, code quality, and documentation.
  • Mentor and support other QA and engineering team members in automation strategies and tooling.
  • Stay current with industry trends in test automation, healthcare tech, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PHI, HIPAA, GDPR).

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in QA automation, with a strong focus on E2E testing for web applications.
  • Expertise in at least one modern E2E automation framework (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
  • Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for test scripting.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, REST APIs, and browser automation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional team.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality, production-ready solutions.
  • Experience working with healthcare, PHI, or HIPAA/GDPR-compliant systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Playwright and/or Selenium in a healthcare or regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Sentry, Datadog, Grafana).
  • Experience with workflow/process mapping and test strategy design.
  • Prior exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience mentoring or leading QA automation teams.

Why Join Us

  • Remote-first team with a collaborative, mission-driven culture.
  • High autonomy and ownership across the full QA automation lifecycle.
  • Direct impact on patient care and clinical outcomes.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive healthcare benefits.
  • Opportunities for growth and shaping QA processes from the ground up.
