Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Planning and Communications Manager to lead content creation, brand management, and change management communications while driving organizational transformations and culture change initiatives. This role will oversee the development and execution of impactful content across multiple communication channels, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with organizational goals and foster a cohesive, inclusive culture.  This role will also deliver high quality communications solutions that target audiences can easily access, understand and action that are alignment with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Editing: Develop, write, and edit engaging content for digital, social media, and internal communications, ensuring alignment with brand voice and organizational objectives.
  • Brand Management: Uphold and strengthen the organization’s brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging, tone, and visual standards across all communication channels.
  • Change Management Communications: Design and implement communication strategies to support organizational change initiatives, ensuring clear, transparent, and timely messaging to stakeholders and employees.
  • Leading Transformations & Culture Change: Spearhead communication strategies to drive organizational transformations and foster culture change, promoting employee engagement, alignment with company values, and adoption of new behaviors and practices.
  • Presentation Development & Delivery: Create visually compelling and strategically focused decks and present to senior leadership to communicate key key initiatives, updates and strategies effectively
  • Multi-Channel Strategy: Plan and execute communication campaigns across diverse channels (e.g., email, social media, websites, newsletters, and internal platforms) to engage varied audiences effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, HR, operations, and other departments to align communication strategies with organizational objectives and ensure cohesive messaging.
  • Content Planning & Strategy: Develop and manage an editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of content, aligning with key business priorities, campaigns, and transformation initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication and culture change initiatives using metrics and feedback, adjusting strategies to maximize impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure communications reflect organizational goals, resonate with audiences, and support culture change efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, content creation, or brand management
  • Seasoned professional in crafting change management communications and driving cultural alignment.
  • Ability to take technical and complex information and distill it to key messages that make sense for the audience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Canva;
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively to both individuals and groups;

Salary:

$86,000.00 - $160,000.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards. BMO also offers health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
