About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Service Delivery the successful candidate will provide technical analysis and support for computer hardware, desktops/laptops/cell phones, printing, telephony systems, collaboration/productivity tools as well as off-the-shelf and customized software for OPTrust. 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical expertise in the administration and support of computer, network, and telephone systems.  

  • Ensure proper installation/deployment of computers and peripherals which could include but are not limited to laptops, desktops, collaboration/productivity tools, telephony equipment and multifunction printers. 

  • Escalate hardware, software and application issues to the appropriate specialist/vendor as required, after comprehensive initial triage and troubleshooting. 

  • Troubleshoot computer, telephony, and network problems; using diagnostic software or other testing methods to identify problems and take corrective action.   

  • Available to work overtime as required, supporting business operations for the organization, including providing regular weekend on-call support.  

What You Bring

  • Undergraduate degree/diploma and evidence of progressive development in an IT discipline.  

  • 2 to 3 years of related experience preferably in financial/pension/investment services environment.  

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Active Directory/Azure AD/ Endpoint Manager, collaboration/productivity tools, personal computers/laptops/cell phones and peripherals such as multifunctional printers to provide support, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting services to OPTrust.  

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products (including Office 365). 

  • MCSE and A+ certificate are assets. 

  • ITIL V3 foundations certificate is preferred.  

  • Strong customer service skillset. 

  • Great networking, relationship building and influencing skills.  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
