Help us build the future of mortgage technology. As Technical Business Analyst you will play a dual role in both analyzing and optimizing business processes through technology and supporting the successful execution of projects. You will be responsible for evaluating business needs, defining system requirements, developing business cases, and helping to plan and monitor projects. You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment of deliverables to organizational goals.
What you’ll be doing
Business & Technical Analysis
- Elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements using interviews, workshops, use cases, and process modelling.
- Translate business objectives into platform capabilities, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions.
- Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify gaps and optimization opportunities.
- Build workflows, BPMN diagrams, data models, and target operating models for future state design.
System Design & Implementation Support
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure solution alignment with technical architecture and business objectives.
- Draft data mapping, interface specifications, and API contracts; support API cataloging and service reusability.
- Participate in or lead integration and regression testing efforts, including UAT coordination and defect triaging.
- Support configuration, migration, and post-deployment validation activities.
Project & Platform Delivery
- Partner with project managers and product owners to define delivery scope, roadmap milestones, and KPIs.
- Manage competing priorities across a portfolio of platform services or products, making informed trade-off decisions.
- Lead or contribute to Agile ceremonies (e.g., grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives) and Waterfall governance where applicable.
- Continuously improve business analysis practices and delivery frameworks across the team.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring clear understanding and buy-in.
- Communicate analysis findings, system impacts, and risks in business-friendly and technical terms.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and governance bodies.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or hybrid BA/PM role.
- Proven ability to lead analysis for complex system integrations, enterprise platforms, or regulated environments.
- Experience working on digital transformations, system migrations, data mastering, or identity and access management is strongly preferred.
Technical Proficiency
- Intermediate SQL skills and experience in data warehousing or modeling.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java) and understanding of modern software development lifecycles.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with process mapping (e.g., BPMN), workflow tools, and modelling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Asana, Confluence, ServiceNow, Figma, and collaboration platforms.
- Other adhoc functions as required.
Certifications
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is a plus.
- ITIL Certification is preferred
