We believe in building a sense of belonging through our games, their communities, and how we operate and treat each other. Through our game communities, we will create powerful connections and lasting memories. We will foster a culture of diversity, equity and belonging where together our diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds impact the games we make.

We are an early but mighty organization with a leadership team of game industry veterans. There are many opportunities for you to have a big impact on the products we'll be making as well as the overall direction of the company. If you're passionate about tackling difficult problems with direct and thoughtful communication and team first mentality, we may be the right place for you.

About the role

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Sourcer, you will be balancing immediate hiring needs with long-term sourcing strategy—context-switching between quickly identifying and engaging top talent for open roles while also building a world-class sourcing approach. You'll leverage data, market intelligence, and innovative engagement methods to map the global gaming industry, create scalable talent pipelines, and drive recruitment excellence, ensuring Fortis is positioned to hire both now and in the future.

What you’ll achieve

  1. Support immediate hiring needs by quickly identifying, calibrating, and engaging talent for active roles. Work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to align on role requirements, provide candidate recommendations, and adjust sourcing strategies in real-time.
  2. Screening & Candidate Engagement: Own the initial outreach and screening process for sourced candidates, conducting introductory calls to assess alignment and ensure a strong candidate experience before passing them to recruiters.
  3. Deeply understand Fortis' value proposition and be highly skilled at articulating it to potential candidates. Use market knowledge to effectively match Fortis' ambitions with candidates' career goals and experiences, ensuring outreach attracts the right people.
  4. Support the Creative & Publishing recruitment team by identifying, engaging, and nurturing high-quality talent across multiple geographies using our CRM (Gem) and ATS (Greenhouse).
  5. Conduct in-depth research to map the gaming industry—studios, teams, and individuals—across various countries and regions, identifying trends and opportunities.
  6. Support the sourcing roadmap, assisting the most impactful projects, outreach cadence, and content strategy to support recruitment goals.
  7. Ensure sourcing efforts are repeatable and reusable, enabling the team to leverage research, tools, and databases to enhance long-term hiring success.
  8. Agile Recruiting & Workflow Management: Bring experience in Agile, stand-ups, and workload management to drive efficiency and focus within sourcing initiatives.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • 6-8 years of experience in sourcing for games or creative industries, with a proven ability to build talent maps and high-impact sourcing strategies (Mobile Gaming industry experience is a huge plus).
  • Highly organized and systems-oriented, with the ability to create processes that benefit the broader team and enhance recruitment effectiveness
  • Strong foundation in market mapping and industry research, with experience sourcing across multiple countries and regions.
  • Ability to quickly assess candidate suitability and deliver fast feedback to hiring teams, ensuring efficient hiring processes for immediate business needs.
  • Experience leading outreach campaigns at scale, with a track record of building strong relationships with candidates across different functions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, stand-ups, and workload management within a sourcing or recruitment environment.
  • Proficiency in sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, and other advanced search techniques) and a strong understanding of Boolean search and talent intelligence platforms.
  • And finally, but probably the most important, have a passion for games.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience in competitive intelligence, talent intelligence, or market analysis within the games industry.
  • Familiarity with game development, publishing, or live service models.
  • Previous experience working in an early-stage or fast-scaling recruitment function.
