Role Overview

The Senior Strategic Solutions Architect serves as the technical and architectural leader for client programs, ensuring that solutions align not only with immediate implementation goals but with the carrier’s broader enterprise architecture, digital strategy, and operational ecosystem.

This role requires a professional who has firsthand experience navigating the complexity of life insurance & annuity technology environments, including legacy systems, policy administration platforms, distribution channels, and enterprise data architecture. The ideal candidate understands how architectural decisions ripple across systems, carrier business processes, and long-term transformation initiatives.

You will act as a trusted advisor to carrier technology and business leadership, helping them evaluate architectural tradeoffs, integration strategies, and modernization pathways while ensuring successful delivery of Sureify implementations.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise & Program Architecture Leadership
  • Help support the architectural strategy for implementations, ensuring alignment with the client’s enterprise architecture, digital initiatives, and long-term modernization roadmap.
  • Evaluate how Sureify product/s integrate with policy administration systems, distribution platforms, CRM, data platforms, and legacy carrier infrastructure.
  • Provide guidance on architectural tradeoffs, integration patterns, and platform adoption strategies across complex client environments.
Strategic Client Advisory
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to client executives, enterprise architects, business partners, and technology leaders.
  • Translate complex business objectives and operational constraints into scalable architectural solutions.
  • Guide clients through key decisions regarding platform architecture, integration strategy, data flows, and system dependencies.
Cross-System Integration Strategy
  • Define and oversee integration architectures that connect Sureify product/s with policy administration systems, underwriting platforms, distribution systems, and enterprise data services.
  • Anticipate and mitigate architectural risks created by legacy technology constraints, fragmented systems, and evolving carrier technology landscapes.
  • Ensure that integration designs support scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
Program-Level Delivery Oversight
  • Provide architectural leadership across large-scale transformation programs, ensuring that technical decisions support both delivery success and long-term client value.
  • Partner with Delivery teams to ensure that architectural designs are practical, executable, and aligned with project constraints.
  • Identify program-level risks, bottlenecks, and technical dependencies that could impact implementation outcomes.
Solution Architecture
  • Lead technical discovery and due diligence to understand client environments, architecture constraints, and transformation objectives.
  • Develop solution architectures that balance client needs, product capabilities, and implementation feasibility.
Industry Insight & Best Practices
  • Apply deep understanding of insurance and annuity carrier technology ecosystems, including policy administration systems, digital platforms, and enterprise data environments.
  • Bring industry experience to help clients evaluate modernization approaches, platform adoption strategies, and architectural best practices.
  • Contribute insights that help Sureify refine repeatable solution patterns and implementation frameworks.
QualificationsExperience
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software architecture, technical consulting, or large-scale platform implementations.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering complex integrated solutions across multiple enterprise systems.
  • Experience working directly with client executives, enterprise architects, and cross-functional delivery teams in large technology transformation programs.
  • Prior experience with SaaS platforms or enterprise software implementations in regulated industries is strongly preferred.
Technical Expertise
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and system integration patterns.
  • Experience designing architectures that integrate with:
    • policy administration systems
    • CRM platforms
    • distribution or agent management systems
    • enterprise data platforms
  • Familiarity with API-driven architectures, event-based integrations, and modern cloud-based SaaS platforms.
  • Ability to evaluate complex system environments and design scalable, maintainable solution architectures.
  • Working knowledge of data architecture concepts and enterprise data flows.
Industry Experience
  • Deep familiarity with life insurance and annuity carrier technology ecosystems strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with policy administration platforms, distribution systems, or customer engagement platforms.
  • Understanding of carrier operational processes, including policy lifecycle, distribution management, and customer servicing.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.

Collaboration & Working Model
  • Partner closely with Sureify Delivery, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure successful client implementations.
  • Work collaboratively with client architects, technical teams, and system integrators throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Participate in solution discovery, implementation planning, and architectural governance for large enterprise programs.
  • Travel to client sites periodically to support workshops, architecture reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
Base annual salary
$175,000$205,000 USD
