Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior Staff Developer to be part of making that happen.
The Senior Staff Developer will drive, design and develop efforts on Arctic Wolf’s threat hunting and event correlation engine. Arctic Wolf processes a trillion events a day from a wide variety of on-premise devices and cloud platforms. This team owns the threat detection and event correlation rule engine that hosts all of Arctic Wolf’s threat detection rules and runs them against this stream of data. We are continuously working to extend and refine our real-time data pipeline to increase our ability to detect ever more sophisticated attacks. Join us in our efforts to evolve the capabilities of the engine to enable our security experts to express ever more complex detection logic and detect attacks at all steps of the cyber security kill chain.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Drive the definition and development of Arctic Wolf’s next generation threat hunting and event correlation engine, working closely with product, architecture, and engineering leadership
Design and implement robust, asynchronous message‑processing pipelines (e.g., leveraging Kafka topics, consumer groups, and DLQs)
Create and scale high-performance services in a real-time threat analysis platform, using both streaming and batch technologies
Deploy containerized services to production within hours
Work as part of a team of highly skilled software professionals, providing technical mentorship to other team members
Continuously learn and expand your technical horizons

ABOUT YOU
Excited to work at the intersection of Big Data and the Cybersecurity problem spaces, including on correlation at scale
5+ years of experience shipping production-quality software
Love coding
Experience deploying services on cloud computing platforms (e.g, AWS, Azure, GCP)
Enjoy freedom of building software in a culture of continuous integration and deployment
Experience working on distributed systems and microservices architecture is preferred
Track record of developing high-performance and high-throughput software systems
Experience working on stream processing architectures (e.g. Kafka, Flink, Spark, Beam, Samza)
