Senior Specialist – AEM Sites, Forms, EDS & UI/UX Front-End Developer

Role Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Specialist with 6 to 9 years of professional experience bridging modern UI/UX engineering with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS). The ideal candidate will own the end-to-end presentation layer across enterprise engagements, including scalable AEM components, high-performance EDS experiences, mobile-first user flows, and seamless transactional touchpoints using AEM Sites, Forms. You will connect design stakeholders, AEM and EDS engineers, backend developers, and business teams to deliver accessible, optimized, and author-friendly digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • AEM Sites Architecture & Implementation: Translate high-fidelity designs and user journeys into scalable AEM Sites experiences using Core Components, editable templates, content fragments, Experience Fragments, client libraries, and Touch-UI authoring patterns across responsive web and mobile channels.
  • Edge Delivery Services Implementation: Build and optimize high-performance EDS experiences using document-based authoring, content modelling, blocks, sections, metadata, and reusable front-end patterns. Configure preview and production workflows, integrate Universal Editor where applicable, and maintain clean authoring-to-publishing experiences.
  • Advanced AEM Forms Implementation: Architect, implement, and style complex adaptive forms using AEM Forms. Create intuitive transactional experiences, managing form data models, custom validation scripts, workflows, and seamless backend integrations.
  • Mobile & Responsive Optimization: Enforce strict mobile-first engineering practices. Develop highly responsive components that function smoothly across fluid device form factors, tablets, and mobile application webviews.
  • Component & Framework Execution: Develop and govern UI components leveraging HTL (Sightly), HTML5, CSS3, advanced JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS), aligning seamlessly with AEM Touch-UI configurations.
  • Enterprise Governance & Accessibility: Drive design integrity and enterprise visual consistency. Conduct mandatory testing for cross-browser reliability and mandate explicit compliance with universal web and mobile accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 Level AA).
  • Cross-Functional Agility & Performance: Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams and partner with AEM and EDS technical leads, product managers, content authors, and QA automation teams to resolve rendering issues, streamline publishing workflows, run UI performance audits, and optimize Core Web Vitals.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience Profile: 6 to 9 years of production-level experience in UI/UX Engineering and Front-End Development, with at least 3+ years dedicated to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM v6.5 / AEM Cloud Service).
  • AEM Sites Expertise: Hands-on experience with AEM Sites on AEM 6.5 and AEM as a Cloud Service, including Core Components, editable templates, content and Experience Fragments, client libraries, Touch-UI dialogs, HTL/Sightly, Multi Site Manager, launches, workflows, and authoring governance.
  • EDS Expertise: Hands-on experience with Adobe Edge Delivery Services, including document-based authoring, block development, content and metadata modelling, Sidekick-based workflows, Universal Editor concepts, GitHub-based development, and deployment through preview and production environments.
  • AEM Forms Specialist Capability: Demonstrated experience building, theme styling, and managing AEM Adaptive Forms, form fragments, rules editor configurations, and data integrations.
  • Core Technical Stack: Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript (ES6+), and SASS/SCSS. Exposure to SPA frameworks like React.js or Angular within an AEM context is highly valued.
  • Design System Familiarity: Fluent in interpreting and implementing intricate components built out in Figma or Adobe XD, maintaining strict pixel-perfect translation.
  • Tooling & Methodology: Strong capability with Git version control, enterprise build automation tools (Maven, Webpack/NPM), and operating inside high-velocity Agile/Scrum lifecycles.
