ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Hedge Fund Operational Due Diligence Senior Specialist will be responsible for leading the initial and ongoing operational due diligence process on predominately alternative investment managers and service providers to highlight any concern that could affect the integrity of client’s investments. 

 

The Hedge Fund Due Diligence Senior Specialist is responsible for the following functions: 

  • Lead operational due diligence assessments of investment managers and fund service providers, including administrators, depositaries, and custodians. 

  • Lead virtual and on-site meetings with investment managers and service providers in locations throughout the world and across multiple time zones. 

  • Work closely with members of the Investment Team to incorporate investment due diligence details required to complete the overall assessment of the investment manager. 

  • Draft operational due diligence reports and present findings of the due diligence process to all relevant stakeholders, including senior staff at Innocap clients. 

  • Track operational concerns and issues identified and work directly with the managers and/or service providers to ensure the concerns and issues are remediated. 

  • Contribute to improving and enhancing operational due diligence processes with industry best practices, particularly, to suit the unique ODD requirements of a managed account platform.   

  • Manage key client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for operational due diligence matters. 

 

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS 

  • Extensive experience working in hedge fund operational due diligence. 

  • Extensive experience working closely with Senior Management and Project Management in planning and carrying out responsibilities. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to concisely synthesize information to internal and external stakeholders, including extensive experience writing and presenting reports.  

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality work in a timely manner. 

  • Adopt and use a leadership style based on candor, active listening, respect, and corporate responsibility. 

  • Proven ability to work independently, collaboratively, and effectively in an international, multicultural environment. 

  • Possess a proactive, innovative, and adaptable approach to work with a consistent client‑first, value‑add mindset.
