The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Training team, you will work with internal and external stakeholders, product managers, and designers to execute Ada’s roadmap and iteratively deliver the messaging platform that will drive more volume to our AI-driven CX platform, with the mission to make customer service extraordinary for everyone.

Our team values a high ownership mindset. As a Senior Engineer, your job is not just to write the code, but to give valuable input on the features we develop and the technical foundations of our systems. You must empathize with our direct customers, and end users who will interact with the AI agents we power, to think about the best ways to solve the problems on our roadmap.

About You

  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • Proficient with backend technologies (Python and/or Node.js)
  • Understanding of databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch and in-memory stores such as Redis
  • Experience working on AI projects with 3rd party LLMs, such as GPT, Azure, Anthropic etc.
  • Experience working with public APIs to build reliable third-party integrations
  • Experience deploying code and strong developer operations
  • Commitment to personal growth and continued learning
  • Drive and willingness to make the people around you better
  • Self-starter, problem solver and strong communicator

  • Provide your perspective and ideas to help level up our current development practices.
  • Champion a high-quality bar on our work by reviewing the team’s code, providing insightful feedback, fostering a collaborative community within the engineering organization and advocating for technical projects that make our systems better. 
  • Ensure that the team is providing the best AI Agent platform experience by staying close to the customer feedback, internal team pain points and close collaboration with our product and design partners.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for the services the team owns, triaging and addressing production issues, as well as work with your team to increase the reliability of our services.

The expected salary range for this position is $129,264 - $171,478 CAD. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors such as past experience and qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
