Job Overview
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Senior Software Engineer (.NET & React) to join our team. In this role, you will work in an Agile Scrum team to develop our industry-leading Applied Epic software product using C#, React, TypeScript, and SQL Server, as well as maintain or enhance legacy features using VB.NET. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum team members to deliver high-quality technical solutions that answer our client's business requirements. We are looking for developers to deliver clean, well-written, enterprise-scale applications.
What You'll Do

  • Become a dedicated participant of your Agile scrum team
  • Collaborate with other members on the Agile Scrum team to self-manage feature development to completion
  • Collaborate with Application, Enterprise, and Test Architects on technical solutions
  • Participate in sprint reviews of completed functionality at the end of each sprint
  • Identify and communicate possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers
  • Mentor and guide junior-level developers


What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:

  • Has the ability to work 100% remotely, or from an Applied Systems office


Your experience should include some or all of the following:

  • 4+ years of experience creating enterprise software using C#, .NET 5/6, TypeScript, React, SQL Server, and Visual Studio
  • Familiar with Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum or Kanban using tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong work ethic and ability to deliver solutions in committed timeframes
  • Proven technical abilities
  • Provide technical leadership to the team
  • Skilled troubleshooting and research abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to be part of a high-functioning team
  • B achelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience with Gitlab, Cypress, Go, Angular, Kubernetes, or containerization a plus
