Magna is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to join the New Mobility group in Lowell, Massachusetts. The engineer will be responsible for design and implementation of systems for our robotic platforms. They will work with the design and test teams to ensure that requirements are met, and architectures are successfully implemented.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with minimal supervision to meet defined program objectives and milestones in an environment where they will be given the freedom to innovate, explore new methods and solutions. Magna New Mobility offers an agile engineering and development community; one in which a candidate will be expected to bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
What you will be doing in this role:
Design and implementation of code from Database design to Implementation and UI builds with additional time spent on debugging and performance improvement.

Hiring Base Salary Range: $85,670 - $159,110 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). In addition to base salary, some positions are eligible for an annual performance based bonus.

Education / Experience
- Computer Engineering or equivalent Bachelors Degree with 8+ years of applicable experience or Master Degree with 5+ years of applicable software development experience in relevant industries is required
- 5+ years of software design and development experience, preferably with Robotics, Automotive or Industrial is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with front-end and back-end technologies
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
- Hybrid in-office policy: 3 days in office per week, but will be needed to work up to 100% in office as the work requires.
- Domestic and international travel up to ~10%.
