This is a fully remote position, with candidates ideally residing in Canada.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with Product Management, Design, and other Engineering stakeholders to uphold a high quality standard in a fast-paced, iterative environment. Step into a product management role when needed to ensure that our solutions meet our high standards.
  • Develop full stack features that address complex technical challenges, integrating both frontend and backend aspects to enhance user experience and system reliability.
  • Engage in all phases of project lifecycle, from planning to deployment, including code reviews and performance optimization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers, helping them advance their skills and careers.

Who We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, Typescript, and a modern backend language (e.g., Ruby, Python, Java).
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.
  • You are adaptable and excel in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift rapidly.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with Rails, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch is highly valued.
  • Background in startup environments, possibly as a founder or early employee, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit and versatility.
