We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Fusion Data team in
Toronto, Canada and help build full stack solutions that power core data
capabilities for Autodesk Fusion. This team focuses primarily on backend systems
and data models, with some frontend development as part of delivering end-to-
end features.
The ideal candidate is a strong, hands-on developer who can independently
deliver complex work, solve challenging problems, and collaborate effectively
across the team. You’re curious, adaptable, and comfortable working across the
stack, with a focus on building high-quality, scalable systems. Our team embraces
an AI-first approach to development and uses modern tools to accelerate
productivity.
Responsibilities
Work as part of a collaborative, distributed team to deliver features for Fusion’s data platform
Design, build, and maintain backend services and data models, while contributing to frontend features as needed
Take ownership of complex problems from design through implementation and delivery
Translate product requirements into clear technical solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving team practices
Mentor and support more junior developers on the team
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and remote teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong programming skills in at least one modern language (and ability to learn others quickly)
Proven ability to independently deliver complex technical work
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Experience building and maintaining backend systems and APIs
Commitment to writing well-tested, high-quality code
Comfortable working in a distributed team environment
Experience with modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows, is a plus

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $107,000 and $157,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Diversity & Belonging
