What You Will Get To Do:
Blue Prism Chorus is moving to the cloud! We are seeking a passionate developer who is eager to revolutionize Chorus and transform it from the solid product it been for years into a modernized product built for future longevity. Those applying will:
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements
- Provide code that enhances software as needed with little direction from others
- Support, maintain, and document software functionality and practices
- Prototype, refine, test and debug programs as needed
- Participate in design meetings and analyze user needs to determine function requirements
- Implement designs by utilizing development languages and tools per design specifications
- Develop and execute unit testing
- Provide input into code specification development
- Trouble-shoot problems or issues of moderate scope through analysis of multiple data sets or factors
- Recognize and consider dependencies in planning and decision making
- Apply industry best practices for user software development
- Conduct performance tuning to ensure code is scalable and meets performance requirements
- Create and provide input to code specification development
- Identify process improvements and system enhancements and recommend solutions
- Trouble-shoot complex problems or issues through in-depth analysis of variable data sets and factors
What You Will Bring:
- Computer Science/Engineer related Bachelor’s degree; or Master’s degree (recent graduate); or 5 years of equivalent work-related experience
- Experience with source code management systems (e.g. Git)
- Experience with Java, React, .NET or other programing languages.
- Developing and maintaining SaaS applications
- Web, GraphQL, RESTful Services Development experience
- SQL and NoSQL databases.
- A passion for continuous learning as well as the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills
- Able to work with a global team
- Thorough knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
- Adheres to software development standards, processes and best practice.
- Good verbal and written communication (English)
- Takes accountability and ownership of deliverables.
- Effective problem solving
- Ability to foster an environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration
- Passion for continuous learning
- Focused on providing high quality deliverable
- Knowledge of Financial Services experience also a plus
