As we scale up, we are looking for a Senior Software Developer to help us build the software that is changing the face of the feed industry. This is a new vacancy due to growing business needs.

 

Job Summary:

Join our growing team to develop BinSentry's newest product line! We’re looking for smart, generalist developers who are highly detail oriented and completeness-driven, who have a demonstrated ability to learn quickly, and who can work closely with our principal architect and product team to enhance the efficacy and accuracy of our ProSense HD product. We are a small, fun team that moves fast without a lot of red tape. We are outcomes focused and tackle interesting and hard problems, driven by data. You’ll work across our product backend & ML pipeline, developing innovative solutions to improve our sensor accuracy and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and use data to understand key performance characteristics of our sensors
  • Report on progress, communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Propose solutions to current, often ambiguous challenges, both technical and organizational
  • Identify and deliver outcomes quickly and iteratively

Who You Are:

  • Problem solver, proactive, go-getter and professional team player
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize tasks, set realistic estimations, and manage time effectively
  • A fast learner, willing to pivot when new information comes to light

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Demonstrated Computer vision, ML architecture & problem solving ability preferred
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (we use React, Node.js)
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Proficiency in AWS (DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, Serverless) is a plus
  • 3D image capturing experience, particularly around accuracy is an asset
