Job Overview:

The Content Management team is pivotal in scaling Coursera’s global educational catalog content operations, driving efficient lifecycle management, content metadata management, and comprehensive curation enablement across the content ecosystem. Our mission is to build predictive, transparent, and automated systems that optimize the sourcing, tagging, curation, launch, and lifecycle management of content, enabling us to rapidly adapt to learner needs and maximize growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable & robust frontend applications, bringing a clean, consistent, and high-quality look and feel to every step of the learner journey
  • Use and explore AI-powered coding and design tools to accelerate delivery and creativity
  • Measure your work thoroughly, analyze results, and generate hypotheses to drive new product changes through A/B testing
  • Upgrade critical and legacy pages, improving accessibility, performance, and visual polish
  • Collaborate closely with design, business, and product stakeholders to find the best solutions and adapt to changes
  • Share knowledge and guide other teams in using the design system and visual standards

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of front-end engineering experience
  • Strong with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React (or similar frameworks)
  • Experience working with or building design systems
  • Strong focus on web accessibility and performance

Nice to haves:

  • Experience building direct to consumer products
  • Loves innovating and is curious about AI-assisted development
  • Skilled at jumping into large front-end codebases and driving rapid improvements
  • Balances long-term design thinking with quick execution on urgent goals
  • Communicates well and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Passionate about performance, accessibility, and visual details

Compensation:

Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The targeted hiring base salary range for this role is between CAD $134,400 to 168,000 for all Canada candidates. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
