Senior Site Reliability Engineer

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Moneris collaborates with other technology teams to build, implement and support efficient, scalable and fail-tolerant Moneris data platforms applications and solutions.  As a blend of data engineering and system administration, you will lead the implementation and support of the different application environments. As a member of the support team, you will also provide rotational on-call support for the applications.                          

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

• Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with systems infrastructure administration, design and/or management.

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Azure cloud technologies and services.

• Minimum 3 years of experience working on Unix/Linux operating systems and Shell scripting

• Proficient in computer applications, server configurations, networking systems, databases, data science tools and technologies, and large-scale distributed systems and processes

• Working knowledge of DevOps practices.

• Strong working knowledge of computer applications, server configurations, networking systems, database administration, data science tools and technologies.

• Strong working knowledge of databases and data storage technologies.

• Experience with one or more scripting languages (i.e. PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)
