WE'RE BACK IN OFFICE! You will be required to be in the office 2-3 days/week in Toronto. Out of province candidates need to relocate for this role

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow ITOM Developer to join our ServiceNow Platform team and help shape the next generation of IT Operations experiences. In this role, you will own both core ITOM BAU stability and exciting new AI-enabled integration use cases — starting with Microsoft Copilot for Teams.

You will be a hands-on technical leader, building secure and scalable solutions across ServiceNow ITOM capabilities and modern integration patterns. If you enjoy solving complex operational challenges, improving platform reliability, and building real automation that users love — this is a high-impact role with strong visibility.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide senior-level technical ownership for ServiceNow ITOM BAU support, ensuring stability and high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across:
    • ITOM, IT Asset Management, Security Operations applications as well as overall platform as needed
    • MID Server, credential issues, Discovery failures, integration errors
    • Alert ingestion, enrichment, correlation, routing, and noise reduction

  • Design and deliver AI-driven integrations with ServiceNow, starting with:
    • Microsoft Copilot for Teams (Copilot/Teams-driven automation and IT workflows)

  • Enable AI-supported operational use cases such as:
    • Incident/ticket creation, updates, and intelligent routing from Teams prompts
    • Knowledge and record retrieval/summarization grounded in ServiceNow data
    • Operational insights and alert/incident summaries for quicker decision-making
  • Build secure and scalable integration patterns using:
    • Scripted REST APIs, authentication methods, integration monitoring and controls
    • Orchestration and automation (Flow Designer / IntegrationHub where applicable)
  • Collaborate as part of a high-performing platform team –contributing to shared engineering standards, mentoring and support other developers through teamwork and knowledge sharing, and drive best practices through reusable patterns, documentation, and collaboration:
    • Security-first development, performance optimization, maintainable solutions
    • Controlled customization and production-ready documentation/runbooks

What You Bring

Required

  • 5–8+ years of ServiceNow development experience, including ITOM exposure in enterprise production environments.
  • Strong hands-on development skills (JavaScript, Glide API, Script Includes, Business Rules).
  • Proven experience delivering solutions using ServiceNow best practices:
    • secure coding, maintainability, scalability, performance awareness
    • configuration-first mindset and controlled customization
  • Strong integration experience:
    • Scripted REST APIs, REST/SOAP integrations, troubleshooting end-to-end failures
  • Practical ITOM experience across at least 2–3 areas:
    • Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, Cloud Discovery (AWS/Azure/GCP), HAM, SAM
  • Strong ownership and ability to deliver independently.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • ServiceNow certifications: CSA, CAD, CIS (Discovery/Event Management/Service Mapping)
  • IntegrationHub and Flow Designer experience
  • Microsoft ecosystem integration exposure:
    • Teams, Power Platform, Graph API, Azure Functions
  • Understanding of GenAI integration principles:
    • data grounding/retrieval, audit logging, risk mitigation

Why Join Us

  • Work on high-impact ITOM improvements that directly influence operational efficiency and platform reliability.
  • Build AI-enabled workflows and integrations — starting with Copilot for Teams — and help define what “modern operations” looks like.
  • Strong collaboration with platform governance/engineering and visibility across stakeholders.
  • Opportunity to lead technical improvements, influence standards, and mentor others.
