Job Description

AECOM Canada is searching for a Senior Scheduler for a full-time position based at Mississauga. This position is for a newly created position.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
• Lead the development and implementation of the project's planning and construction strategies, across the program.
• Collaborate with project teams and external stakeholders to identify and optimize construction sequencing, logistics, and resource allocation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments to ensure effective planning and staging of construction activities.
• Coordinate with various teams to develop construction schedules, phasing plans, and mitigation measures.
• Planning of engineering trains, access and possessions, reduce possession related cost due to engineering trains, Increase efficiency of engineering access.
• Attend planning meetings ensuring effect planning is done to reduce safety, maximize performance of engineering possessions.
• Chair Integration and Deconfliction and Readiness meetings for engineering possessions.
• Monitor and update the project's planning and staging activities based on changing requirements and constraints.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 8+ years of related experience.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

Competency Requirements

  • Minimum seven (10) years of experience in construction planning and scheduling for large infrastructure projects, preferably in airport industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, logistics planning, and resource management
  • Familiarity with construction methodologies, safety regulations, and environmental considerations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in International airport projects

Professional Designation:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or AACE Certification preferred.

  • Primavera P6 – Advanced Level  

  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
