We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to ensure product quality through automated and manual testing across the delivery lifecycle. They define testing strategies, tools, and frameworks with a focus on automation, agile practices, continuous integration, and compliance. Working closely with cross-functional teams, they create testable requirements, design and maintain automated solutions, manage environments and data, and analyze results to drive improvements. Their work delivers scalable, user-focused solutions that meet business and regulatory standards.
The role supports Land Based Gaming, with a primary focus on the Gaming Management System (GMS)—a modern, vendor suite of products that enables OLG to operate its gaming business. GMS is deeply integrated with business partners’ system and supports both real time and batch processing. As a large and complex application ecosystem, it involves extensive data management requirements and numerous integration points.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director Technology Product Management, you will be empowered to:
Contribute to Planning and Executes testing activities while aligning them with the overall quality goals. Manage risks and evaluate all types of testing and leverage test automation.
Since this role works closely with a vendor‑provided product ecosystem, key responsibilities include:
Reviewing vendor quality reports, providing recommendations, and granting approvals.
Advising vendors on product changes required to ensure successful automation.
Reviewing business partner quality records and providing approval where appropriate
Design, develop, test, and maintain programs, scripts, and integration services, applying secure software lifecycle practices and automation.
Build and refine automated test frameworks, create and execute test plans across all test types, and ensure traceability through proper test management.
Prepare test data, configure environments, run tests, log defects, analyze results, and report findings to improve system functionality and compliance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, enhance integration processes, and continuously improve test coverage and quality standards.
Drive adoption of new tools and technologies for test automation, optimization, and standards compliance; select and execute non-functional and regression test cases based on system requirements.
Develop, automate, and run comprehensive test plans; analyze results, report risks, and provide guidance on user acceptance testing and quality improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements, manage test environments and data, validate security and accessibility, and ensure realistic operational coverage and traceability.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME
Education & Experience:
Degree in Computer Science, information systems or equivalent discipline
5+ years within an organization with a complex technology environment.
5+ years with a vendor product testing
Minimum 3 years of working experience in Agile environments.
At least 5 years with a complete and comprehensive testing life cycle using standard testing tools.
Relevant Skills:
Create and manage comprehensive test plans using tools like TestRail, Jira, and integrations, with strong understanding of test types, paradigms, and automation.
Develop and execute automated tests using frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, TestComplete, JUnit/TestNG, Pytest, Mocha/Jest, and performance tools like LoadRunner and JMeter.
Apply basic programming skills in Java, Python, C#, and JavaScript; work with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Azure DevSecOps; and understand web technologies (HTML/CSS, DOM, JavaScript) and database testing (SQL/NoSQL).
Utilize API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, and REST-assured; ensure security, usability, and accessibility compliance; and write effective user/system stories with acceptance criteria.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), quality standards, and core competencies in automation, risk-based testing, requirements analysis, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
