Job Description
The RBC Team in Halifax is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our HR IT team within GFT, focusing on Procurement IT solutions. This role is based in the Bedford/Halifax region and requires the ability to commute to the office, with in-office presence expected at least 3 days per week as directed by your manager.
As a Senior Quality Engineer in Procurement IT, you will play a critical role in supporting a suite of Procurement applications that are essential to our business operations and regulatory compliance. Your main responsibilities will include understanding and testing both the front-end and back-end of these applications across various projects.
What will you do?

Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test cases and test plans that align with project requirements.

Execute automated and manual test scripts to ensure software quality.

Utilize Q-Test for test case management and Selenium for automated testing.

Employ the Robot Framework to design and manage automated testing procedures.

Collaborate closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and user stories for accurate testing.

Participate in agile SCRUM ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Maintain testing documentation in Confluence and manage issues and progress through Jira.

Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and adherence to QA best practices.

Work in collaboration with other team members to improve quality processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must-have
- 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance and application testing.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Q-Test, Selenium, and Robot Framework.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain detailed test plans and test cases.
- Solid understanding of agile SCRUM methodologies and practices.
- Experience using Confluence for documentation and Jira for issue tracking and project management.
- Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Should have good working knowledge on python and Java
- Should have good working knowledge on ETL testing and ETL Process
Nice-to-have
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certifications.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and familiarity with database/data warehouse concepts are beneficial for effective data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with other test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in large-scale projects.
