In the QA/Automation Engineer role, you will be an integral part of the engineering team responsible for leading release initiatives with other engineers on the team. The QA engineer doesn’t need to write new business features, and is not expected to, but should be able to write or follow code written in languages such as Python / Javascript / Typescript.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and automation test suites for web-based applications, including API, Database and UI test automation
- Design, document and implement test automation strategies and automation test plans
- Participate in peer code reviews and help organize and execute a larger test strategy
- Coordinating testing, writing automation scripts, and help ensure each release goes out bug free
- Will participate in manual hands-on testing as needed
- Will participate in weekly on-call rotation once every 5 weeks
Who You Are
- 4+ years of automation engineering experience requiredExperience in Javascript / Typescript / Playwright / Cypress
- Experience testing a web based application
- Experience mentoring junior / Mid level engineers when appropriate
- Excellent communications skills
- The ability to convey information to stakeholders with varying degrees of technical backgrounds
- Ability to identify gaps with the intent to then propose and execute solutions for both test coverage and team / company processes
- Experience with Gitlab, Datadog, SQL, and Jira are a plus
- Interest in real estate and the fintech/lending space would be a plus
Compensation Education
- The Boston based range for this full time position is $140,000 - $180,000

- Stavvy is committed to competitive and equitable pay for all Stavviators. The listed pay range for this role is a good faith estimate of the hiring range for this position. Compensation offered will be determined based on several factors including an individual’s experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
