Who we are

CIBC's Digital Technology Automation Testing team is dedicated to ensuring the quality of our flagship client-facing applications. Our team leads the ongoing transformation of our QA testing processes to use cutting edge tools and technologies to increase our level of test automation working hand-in-hand with our Development and Business partners. We are currently seeking a Senior Automation Consultant who will provide technical leadership and guidance with a Quality Engineering mindset..

The successful candidate will have a strong Development background with hands-on experience in modern Web and Mobile application languages and technologies. They will be responsible for identifying and implementing our Test Automation transformation strategy to ensure that we use modern testing process and technologies with immediate focus on utilizing GenAI capabilities to revolutionize our current testing process. Additionally, the candidate will be experts in Test Automation Tools, Processes and Strategies to allowing them to guide and lead our ongoing Test Automation evolution.

How you'll succeed

• Testing expertise – Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.
• Leadership skills – Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship. Proactivelyidentify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.
• Project coordination – Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project’s timeline, budget and goals.
