Job Description:

Merkle is a data and marketing analytics consulting firm that helps marketers to win in the digital economy. We use analytics to create business value by giving marketers the data, tools and skills they need to focus their efforts and dollars on the things that work best. We have done this across thousands of successful client engagements, and have the trust of Fortune 1000 brands.

At Merkle, we are educators at heart. We don't just develop and deliver against a sound analytics strategy — we also help clients elevate their own capabilities. We've trained over 500,000 people worldwide, and our award-winning bench of talent loves nothing more than to share what they know. We believe that marketers need experts in their corner, and a catalyst for action to help them tap the power of their data and create demonstrable value for the business. By doing this, we fulfill our own goal: to be the competitive advantage for our clients. Our company culture reflects the importance of our people's expertise, wellness and happiness in everything we do.

We're seeking a Senior Project Manager who is well seasoned in working with cross-functional teams and clients with complex portfolios. The Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in helping to deliver digital strategy, technology, digital media and analytics solutions. The position requires the ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects and mentor other Project Managers. It also requires a general technical background, strong business knowledge, and very strong project management skills. Excellent communication skills are essential, as this person will routinely interact with team members and external clients across in-person, remote, and hybrid environments. The Senior Project Manager should also have a passion to help improve processes and technology within the organization. The work is varied and challenging — you must enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with delivery leads and leading client communications with confidence and clarity
  • Managing and coordinating integrated project plans to help clients achieve their strategic objectives; adapting and applying the Merkle delivery approach to meet project success metrics
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent, high-quality project communication with all stakeholders, leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve status reporting and risk visibility
  • Overseeing project estimations and the development of project deliverables; establishing and maintaining processes to manage scope throughout the project lifecycle
  • Championing project management best practices — including Agile and hybrid delivery frameworks — across the organization
  • Establishing standard reports for project teams and clients
  • Providing an infrastructure of constant health performance monitoring
  • Ensuring repeatable processes are in place and documented
  • Working with the Delivery Lead, Client Services and Executive Sponsor to ensure consistent, customer-focused delivery
  • Serving as lead project manager on enterprise client engagements
  • Ensuring the team is meeting established timelines and goals
  • Systematically tracking project tasks and risks, and proactively resolving roadblocks before they impact successful delivery
  • Providing accurate time and resourcing forecasting for existing and upcoming engagements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree with 5- 7+ years' experience in digital media, marketing, or analytics in a project management role
  • Experience delivering digital media, technology and analytics projects within an agency environment
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), and Workfront considered a strong asset
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies
  • Ability to prioritize project deliverables and incident handling across the organization
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead distributed or hybrid teams while meeting deadlines
  • Strong data literacy and comfort leveraging analytics and reporting tools to drive project decisions
