Domaine is looking for a motivated team member that has a passion for eCommerce who wants to grow with our agency to develop into an industry leader in the space. The Senior Project Manager is a key leader within the project management team, responsible for overseeing complex projects, mentoring team members, and supporting strategic department initiatives.

This role requires deep expertise in ecommerce, particularly within the Shopify ecosystem, and the ability to independently manage high-stakes projects while maintaining strong client relationships. The Senior Project Manager is also expected to contribute to internal process improvements, develop functional specifications, and ensure that project teams operate efficiently and effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Leadership:

  • Leads complex, multi-workstream projects for enterprise and high-value clients.
  • Maintains a high level of billable time (80%) while overseeing project teams and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Manages client relationships, budgets, and project timelines independently, proactively identifying expansion opportunities
  • Expertly manages project dependencies, critical paths, and workback plans, ensuring that risks are identified, documented, and mitigated.
  • Operates autonomously, resolving conflicts, aligning stakeholders, and driving innovation in product management best practices.

Client Relations:

  • Owns strategic client relationships across multiple projects, influencing long-term engagement roadmaps, expertly handling challenging communications and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Independently identifies and leads opportunities to grow client accounts; collaborates with Client Partners or leadership on expanding relationships across projects or business units.
  • Communicates complex requirements and project changes to clients with clarity and professionalism, ensuring alignment on goals and expectations.

Mentorship and Team Development:

  • Mentors and guides other project managers, providing expertise in project management best practices, tool utilization, and risk management.
  • Participates in innovation and improvement of cross-departmental processes and approaches to project leadership based on experiences to further agency's practice.
  • Expertly runs retainer and project retrospectives, identifying new opportunities for improvement and suggesting process changes.

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of Shopify, including content management, data migrations, and integrations with systems like PIM and ERP.
  • Utilize and coach others on Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), time planning tools (Productive), and other common project management software (Gdrive, Smartsheet, Front, Notion).
  • Keeps all the project documentation in relevant tools and maintains clear documents structure for all stakeholders to access.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes and client satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in project management, particularly in ecommerce or digital product environments.
  • Expert understanding of Shopify, including admin management, data migrations, and integrations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging client interactions independently.
  • Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to work independently and lead projects with minimal oversight.
  • Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement, both personally and within the team.
  • Reliable and reassuring partner in collaboration, with a strong focus on team success and client satisfaction.
CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE
  • Experience working with JIRA/Confluence or other tickets management systems
  • 3-5 years experience working in eCommerce
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in writing comprehensive content management documentation
  • Expert understanding of project lifecycle and methodologies of software development
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, mentoring teammates
  • Ability to clearly articulate complicated systems to other team members and generate buy-in
  • Manages own work on a weekly basis
  • Consistently delivers high-quality material on time
  • Demonstrates above-average productivity
