Senior Project Manager, Post Secondary Education

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager with a specialized focus in the post-secondary education sector. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 15 years of project management experience, who is not only adept at managing and delivering complex projects, but also has a keen interest in developing and expanding our business area. The ideal candidate will be business-minded, entrepreneurial, and open to travel as needed to support our projects and business development initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

Project Management:

• Lead and oversee multiple planning and delivery projects within the post-secondary education sector, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
• Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
• Advocate for and implement innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness

Business Growth:

• Partner with Business Development executives to develop and implement strategic plans aimed at expanding the company's presence in the post-secondary education market.
• Contribute to the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations for new projects.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.

What You’ll Bring: 

• Commitment to excellence, a passion for what you do, and an entrepreneurial spirit!
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; professional architectural or engineering license preferred.
• PMP certification an asset.
• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager overseeing complex design and construction projects, particularly in the post-secondary education industry.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate design activities effectively.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance.

Location and travel: This role will be based in Toronto, and will require frequent travel to project sites and/or client meetings. Travel to industry events across Canada may be required.
