We have an opening for a Senior Business Systems Product Owner to maximize the value of our core business platforms. The role will serve as the bridge between technology and the business, ensuring that our systems are optimized, adopted effectively, and aligned with evolving business needs. The successful candidate will maintain awareness of emerging trends, technologies and best practices within the industry.
 
 
What you will do:
  • Systems ownership and optimization: develop deep understanding of our business systems, and act as the go-to person for understanding how the business leverages these tools. Continuously monitor system usage, performance and adoption to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Business enablement: Partner with stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, and strategic goals. Translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions. Conduct regular reviews of system functionality and recommend enhancements.
  • Proactive Roadmapping and Strategy: anticipate business needs and proactively suggest new features/functionality. Stay up to date with product prodmaps, vendor updates and industry best practices. Evaluate when existing tools are no longer sufficient and lead assessments of alternative solutions.
  • Collaboration/Implementation: Partner with technical teams to prioritize enhancements and ensure smooth delivery. Drive adoption of new features and processes. Ensure systems align with compliance, security, and data privacy requirements
 
Who you are:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in business systems product ownership.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems including CRM, ETL, ERP, ITSM/HRSD.
  • Strategic and Analytical: you naturally see how processes, data and tools interconnect across departments. You enjoy digging into information and data to uncover root causes and patterns. You are always curious, understanding the “why” and backing recommendations with evidence. You have proven experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Proactive and forward thinking: you are an innovative problem solver looking for smarter, more scalable solutions. You are a self starter and take ownership of initiatives without needing heavy direction. You are continuously learning and driving change.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: You thrive when figuring out complex, cross-functional challenges that don’t have a clear owner.
  • Collaborative and influential: You are an excellent communicator at all levels, you excel at fostering alignment between IT, stakeholders and leadership. You are diplomatic and assertive, comfortable influencing decisions and balancing competing priorities
  • Bonus points for experience writing queries with SQL, SOQL

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
